Welcome To Boomdash!
I tell my 9-year-old, daughter, Clemens, "lower your voice," "move out of the way," and "make sure you say 'thank you'" in equal measure with things like "speak up, they can't hear you," "don't be shy, raise your hand," and "it's your turn in line. Go ahead." With so many conflicting messages, it's clear that it's hard to be a kid sometimes. It's also hard to be a parent sometimes. We're given the ultimate responsibility: to help shape another person's identity.
I know. That sounds pretty heavy. What exactly does that have to do with shopping? Well, it's your job as a mom or a dad or grandparent to guide kids as they develop a sense of self and style, to feel confident and comfortable in who they are and what they wear. The Boomdash team has spent the better part of two years developing a shopping experience that drills down to your children's style preferences in order to find what makes both you and them happy. And eliminates any style-squabbling along the way. You can swoop in, shop, and get back to enjoying life with those little humans.
Aside from your personalized profiles, we've gone a step further to streamline how you shop. If you're like me, you think about your shopping in terms of changes of season, events, milestones, holidays, and such. The We Love section is full of curated boutiques with everything you need in one place. Rainy day gear? Beach essentials? First-birthday outfits? They're all there--and we have many, many more on the way. I also highly recommend reading a few articles from The In Between. (I know, I'm biased.) We named this section for all the "in between" moments of life: the quiet in the semi-constant rush and noise and joy and chaos that is parenting; the glimpse of your child mid-smile, mid-giggle, mid-eureka moment that reminds you how much you love them; the well-earned downtime to just...relax. I know how hard all of you work at this parenting thing, because I'm along for the ride, too.
